Knowing that I have many extremely talented and creative friends and family, I hoped to take advantage of their abilities in honing my own ability to create. I invited anyone and everyone to join with me in creating a group of novice writers who would share their work with one another in order to learn and grow.
At Short Scenes a 'scene' is presented to the group, members can then write the scene however they would like and submit it, it will then be posted to the blog (without author information) so that everyone else can read it and provide constructive criticism.

As for me, my name is Chad and I have been an avid reader since my youth. I thoroughly enjoy books in almost all genres, particularly fantasy, mystery, and biographical. My life changed forever when in 1990 I first picked up and began to read the Eye of the World by Robert Jordan. The book, and indeed the series, captivated me from that point on. Never before and never since have I experienced a world so richly created and developed with a cast of characters that was nearly limitless. I'm an extreme novice when it comes to writing, though I blog often. My biggest fault as a writer, besides just generally not being very good is that I over use the comma.
